About Us

The Bridgwater School of Ballet was established in 1972 as the Wembdon School of Ballet due to its location at Wembdon St Georges School. Now centrally located at the Bridgwater Baptist Church, opposite St Mary's Church. The studio is fully equipped with ballet barres, mirrors, sprung floor and a piano and pianist.

Students follow the syllabus for the Royal Academy of Dance (www.rad.org.uk) and are entered for internationally recognised examinations from Pre-Primary up to Grade 8. Whilst some pupils will go on to a career in dance for others, dancing at the Bridgwater School of Ballet is an excellent and enjoyable way of developing poise, strength, flexibility, co-ordination, confidence and musicality.

First 'taster' lessons are free of charge and any uniform required can be borrowed on a temporary basis.
